Superintendent appointment
The board approved the following superintendent appointment, effective Aug. 1, 2010:
Pertia Bent from Principal at McBride Avenue Public School to Superintendent of Education for the elementary schools in the Bramalea (Earnscliffe Sr.), Chinguacousy and Lincoln M. Alexander Families.
Elementary principal assignment
The board approved the following elementary principal assignment, effective May 17, 2010:
Julia Breen from principal at Somerset Drive P.S. to principal at Cheyne Middle School
Retirements
Trustees recognized the contributions and years of service of the following staff who are retiring effective June 30 unless otherwise indicated:
Robert Garton, principal
Barbara Gibb, principal
Susan Hiraishi, superintendent, will retire Aug. 31
Lynda Honsinger, principal
Nicoletta Pasquini, principal
Susan Wiseman, vice-principal
