As part of an ongoing commitment to student success, the Peel District School Board launched the Students Taking Action for Environmental Change program to help students 'change the global mindset,' and become more aware and active global citizens when it comes to environmental issues.

This section of the website is intended to provide students with learning tools and resources to develop leadership skills and become familiar with global environmental issues. It focuses on general information about the environment, and includes discussions on global climate change and environmental education programs.

The purpose is to help students understand Canada's place in the world and students' responsibility to sustainable development. Students will learn how they can affect environmental change in their schools, communities and beyond.
