Peel board invites applications for Parent Involvement Committee

The Peel District School Board’s Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) will select four new parent members to serve two-year terms that start September 2012 to August 2014. The PIC meets regularly throughout the school year to review the board’s plans for parent involvement as they relate to parent, family and community engagement, and to make suggestions to schools, councils and the board regarding additional parent outreach.

Peel board educators learn new ways to include environmental education into lessons

Educators from across the Peel District School Board will attend the Peel Environmental Education Conference for Educators (PEECE) on Feb. 17 at David Suzuki Secondary School. The full-day conference is a chance for Peel board educators to discuss and develop ways to include environmental education into various curriculum lessons.
