Get Involved |

Get involved!Your help means a lot to us! We’re encouraging everyone in the community to take a role – large or small – in the Understanding the Early Years (UEY) Malton project. We can’t reach our goals without you!
|
There are lots of ways to participate:Ö Spread the word – Talk to your friends, relatives and neighbours about UEY Malton. Invite them to come with you to public meetings or events. Encourage them to visit our website: www.maltonkids.ca. Talking to other people about the needs of our children and families is one of the best ways to raise awareness in our community.
Ö Volunteer – We always welcome volunteers at our meetings and events. Decide how much time you have to help and we’ll find a task that will fit your schedule.
Ö Help your child – As a parent, you are your child’s first and most important teacher. Show your child how much fun learning can be by reading aloud, playing games and spending time together. Often, it’s the simple things you do every day that have the greatest impact on your child’s future success. For tips on helping your child learn, visit the Parent information section.
Ö Attend events – Your opinion matters! UEY Malton will be holding community events and public meetings at various times throughout the year. By attending the meetings, you can share your thoughts about children’s issues with project leaders and help us find the best solutions to address those needs.
Ö Be a sponsor – We welcome the support of the business community for the UEY Malton project. If you own or work for a business that has an interest in charitable activities, we’d love to hear from you. Your donation of funds, services and/or products will help us make a difference in the lives of local children and their families. Contact Sumbal Malik, project co-ordinator, to find out how you can participate.
